Who are you? Where are you from?

I am an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Mathematics and Computer Science at the College of the Holy Cross. Previously, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Smith College; and a Post-doctoral Scholar at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I am from Barcelona, a beautiful city located in Catalonia. How do you pronounce your name?

Many people are surprised about the way I pronounce my name. Xavier is a Catalan name, whose short version is Xavi; people usually call me Xavi, which is pronounced like "Chabee" in English.
